Pulse Systems utilizes Nd:YAG Lasers in the laser cutting of medical devices. Pulse Systems provides Laser Machining of medical devices in hypotube materials such as Nitinol, stainless steel, tri-layer, tantalum and chromium cobalt. While these materials are often used in stent manufacturing they can be used in a variety of medical device hypotube applications. Laser machining and laser cutting is often the only cost effective way to process hypotubes for medical devices. We have expertise in developing secondary processes including grit blasting, laser welding and electropolishing of nitinol, chromium cobalt alloys and stainless steel.
